Jamie and Rob's wedding was a really touching experience. This young couple has been together for almost a decade and when they look at eachother you can still see the sparkle in their eyes. True love for the long haul.Their wedding was small and simple and a joy to photograph. Here are my favorite shots of the day.

Wedding! Erin and Eddie

Erin and Eddie applied their D.I.Y. ethic to every aspect of their wedding and the result was truly lovely. Friends and family helped to prepare the food, there were adorable handmade bouquets and keepsakes for each guest scattered on the tables and a riveting musical performance by the brisdemaids and groomsmen as part of the evening's entertainment. Definitely a warm feeling of community and love throughout the whole event... A really special night that I was honored to be a part of.

More FUN! Get the kids out of the studio!

When I take family or kid photos, it's really nice to get out of the studio and relocate the shoot to a place where kids feel happy and comfortable and will loosen up in front of the camera. Backyards, playgrounds, sandboxes... these location shoots provide a really interesting backdrop for the photo session, as well as allowing the child to stay within his or her comfort zone. That's when the really amazing images that showcase the child's personality happen. Here are a few images I made recently.

Wedding! Ryan and Christina

Ryan and Christina's wedding was a simple and intimate affair with a small group of family and close friends. Iconoclasts themselves, these two were looking for an unconventional approach to their wedding photographs. We decided on a mix of bright, almost hyper-color images contrasted with some simple black and white shots of the ceremony.

Francesca and Scott's wedding was a lively and imaginative event. Francesca, the artist and Scott, the musician, wanted to infuse their soiree with creative special touches. Who wouldn't get excited about hula hoops, colorful hand-made paper flowers and dancing to the big band music of the Phat Cat Swingers? Here are some images from their special day.
